Job Purpose:
As a member of our medicinal chemistry team, you will be responsible for the design and preparation of a variety of new small molecule candidates on one of our interdisciplinary drug discovery programs.  We offer a stimulating, challenging and productive discovery environment with a strong commitment to developing the medicinal chemistry skills of our people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
• Synthesize and purify novel drug-like compounds
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet timelines
• Analyze biological data and propose new targets for synthesis
• Communicate results, ideas and proposed plans informally and in meetings
• Work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment to achieve project goals

Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Chemistry
• One to five years experience in synthetic or medicinal chemistry
• Demonstrated expertise in multi-step synthesis and compound purification
• Knowledge of common spectroscopic and analytical techniques (NMR, MS, HPLC)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to work well within a team environment
